Consultation before starting treatment
Before starting a course of treatment, you will have an introductory counselling consultation with us. We use the consultation to advise you on the best course of treatment for you. In the light of the consultation and your treatment requirements, we may also carry out blood tests and scanning. The blood tests might include hormone analysis, e.g. AMH, to find out how many eggs the woman has.
To book a consultation, either phone us on tel. (+45) 3333 7101 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Consultations with a view to IVF always take place at the clinic if possible. The woman needs to be scanned before we can plan the course of treatment, and you will learn about how the hormone stimulation takes place. We can offer consultations late in the afternoon and on Saturdays. At the consultation, we will use the completed form you will find here.
If you are a couple, both of you must come to the first consultation. If you want to use donor sperm, this consultation is where we come to an agreement on your wishes about the donor, such as eye colour, hair colour and height, and whether you want an anonymous or an open donor.
If you already know why you are childless, or if you have received treatment elsewhere, it will help us a great deal if you can give us a copy of your medical record and any other relevant material, such as blood tests or sperm analysis.
The following tests must have been taken before treatment can start. The tests for HIV and hepatitis must not be more than two years old.
